The HNT30 utilizes a corundum (temperature resistant up to 1800°C) or high-alumina protective tube paired with a Type B or S thermocouple; capable of withstanding high-temperature, high-pressure steam (pressure <20 MPa) over the long term, it is used for temperature monitoring and interlocking protection at the outlets of boiler superheaters and reheaters.

High-temperature reactors and cracking furnaces: The HNT30 offers an optional GH3030 alloy protective tube (temperature resistant up to 1100°C), making it suitable for temperature monitoring in process stages such as hydrocarbon cracking and catalytic reforming involving highly corrosive or oxidizing atmospheres.
Metal Smelting and Heat Treatment
Smelting and annealing furnace chamber temperatures: With an upper measurement limit of 1600–1800°C, the unit employs a Type B or S thermocouple paired with a double-layer ceramic sleeve (Φ25 mm). It is capable of long-term operation in oxidizing or neutral atmospheres and is used for furnace temperature uniformity testing and combustion control.

For ultra-high temperatures (>1100°C), a dual-layer ceramic sleeve (Φ25 mm) is employed; the air gap between the inner and outer tubes utilizes low thermal conductivity to retard heat transfer, thereby keeping the inner tube approximately 200–300°C cooler than the outer wall-reducing the oxidation rate of the thermoelectrode and extending service life.
An integrated NTC sensor provides real-time terminal temperature measurement, applying compensation to the 0°C reference junction with an error of approximately ±0.5°C. When equipped with a transmitter, thermocouple non-linearity is corrected via piecewise interpolation or polynomial fitting, yielding a linear 4–20 mA output that eliminates the need for secondary lookup tables.
Ex d (Flameproof): The housing withstands internal explosions and quenches flames; suitable for Zone 1/2.
Ex ia (Intrinsically Safe): Circuit energy is limited to safe levels; suitable for Zone 0/1, allowing for live maintenance.
