Infrared Temperature Controller

Infrared Temperature Controller

The HNT50 is a non-contact infrared temperature sensor that detects infrared radiation in the 8–14 μm wavelength range to calculate the target's surface temperature. It offers selectable measurement ranges from 0 to 1200°C, with an accuracy of ±1% or ±1.5°C. Key specifications include a 20:1 optical resolution, a 150 ms response time (95%), and output options of 4–20 mA or RS485/Modbus. It operates on 10–30 VDC power, features M18×1 threaded mounting and a 304 stainless steel housing, and is rated IP54. It is suitable for measuring the temperature of moving objects, live electrical components, or high-temperature surfaces where physical contact is restricted.

Hongnuo (shenyang) General Machinery Co., Ltd. is one of the most reliable manufacturers and suppliers of infrared temperature controller in China. Welcome to buy high quality infrared temperature controller at competitive price from our factory. We also accept customized orders.

Typical Applications

product-800-800

1. Steel & Metals Processing

Rolling mills, annealing lines, forging operations-moving stock, hot strip, billets. Contact probes don't last; they wear out, get knocked off, or just can't keep up with line speed. We aim the HNT50 at the pass line, read surface temperature in real time, and feed it back to the control loop or data historian. 150 ms response handles most line speeds without missing a beat.

2. HV Switchgear & Substation Gear

Breaker contacts, busbar joints, cable terminations-live parts, no access for contact sensors, and thermocouples are a pain to insulate properly. Mount the sensor inside the cabinet or through a viewing window, aim at the target, and you're done. No shutdown, no creepage clearance issues. It gives you continuous trending instead of spot-checking with a handheld gun, and you can tie it into your monitoring system.

3. Furnaces, Incinerators & Chemical Kilns

Through the sight port, measuring refractory lining temperature or flue gas duct wall temperature. Ambient around the burner is brutal-high heat, corrosive flue gases. Sensor body stays back where it's cool; only the lens looks through. Add the purge air collar to keep the window clean. Cuts down on lens cleaning rounds significantly.

Why Choose HNT 50 ?

1.The detector captures 8–14 μm infrared radiation emitted by the target and converts it into a surface temperature reading. The operating wavelength avoids atmospheric absorption peaks, ensuring minimal interference from water vapor or CO₂ in industrial environments; consequently, no compensation is required at standard operating distances. As physical contact with the target is unnecessary, the device is ideal for monitoring moving parts, live electrical components, or high-temperature surfaces.

2. It features a 20:1 optical resolution-a standard, reliable specification-meaning a spot size of approximately 50 mm at a distance of 1 meter. During on-site installation, simply calculate the distance and aiming point based on this ratio. The optical path is fixed and contains no moving parts, ensuring alignment stability after initial setup.

3. Since the raw output of the detector is non-linear relative to temperature, internal circuitry performs multi-point calibration to linearize the response. It outputs a 4–20 mA signal or Modbus data, allowing the PLC to read the temperature value directly without requiring additional curve fitting within the DCS.
