Pressure sensors are primarily used in: Booster cylinders, boosters, pneumatic-hydraulic booster cylinders, pneumatic-hydraulic boosters, presses, compressors, and air conditioning/refrigeration equipment.

 

Applications in Hydraulic Systems: In hydraulic systems, pressure sensors mainly perform closed-loop force control. When the control valve core moves suddenly, a peak pressure several times the system's operating pressure can form within a very short time. In typical mobile machinery and industrial hydraulics, any pressure sensor will quickly fail if such extreme conditions are not considered in the design. Shock-resistant pressure sensors are required. There are two main methods to achieve shock resistance in pressure sensors: one is using strain gauge chips, and the other is using an external coil. The first method is generally used in hydraulic systems, mainly because of its ease of installation. Another reason is that the pressure sensor must withstand the continuous pressure pulsations from the hydraulic pump.

 

Applications in Safety Control Systems: Pressure sensors are frequently used in safety control systems, primarily targeting the safety management system of air compressors. Many sensors are used in safety control, and as a very common sensor, the use of pressure sensors in safety control systems is not surprising.

 

In the field of safety control, applications are generally considered from performance, price, and ease of operation. Practical experience has shown that pressure sensors are an excellent choice. Pressure sensors utilize mechanical processing technology to mount components and signal conditioners onto a very small chip. Therefore, small size is one of its advantages, as is low price. To a certain extent, it can improve the accuracy of system testing. In safety control systems, installing pressure sensors in the outlet piping can control the pressure from the compressor to a certain extent. This is a protective measure and a very effective control system. When the compressor starts normally, if the pressure value has not reached the upper limit, the controller will open the inlet to adjust the equipment to reach maximum power.

 

Applications in Injection Molds
Pressure sensors play an important role in injection molds. They can be installed in the nozzle, hot runner system, cold runner system of the injection molding machine, and inside the mold cavity. They can measure the plastic pressure at a certain point between the nozzle and the mold cavity during injection, filling, holding pressure, and cooling.

 

Applications in Mine Pressure Monitoring

Sensor technology is one of the key technologies for mine pressure monitoring. On the one hand, we should correctly apply existing sensors to serve the mining industry; on the other hand, sensor manufacturers must also research and develop new pressure sensors to adapt to more mining industry applications. There are various types of pressure sensors, and based on the special environment of mine pressure monitoring, the main types of mine pressure sensors include: vibrating wire pressure sensors, semiconductor piezoresistive pressure sensors, metal strain gauge pressure sensors, and differential transformer pressure sensors. These sensors have wide applications in the mining industry, and the specific type of sensor used depends on the specific mining environment.

 

Applications in Promoting Sleep
Pressure sensors themselves cannot promote sleep. We simply place the pressure sensor under the mattress. Due to the high sensitivity of the pressure sensor, when a person makes movements related to turning over, heartbeat, and breathing, the sensor analyzes this information to infer the sleeping state. Then, through analysis of the sensor signals, it obtains sleep data such as heart rate and breathing rhythm. Finally, all the data is processed and compiled into a short piece of music, effectively compressing a night's sleep into a few minutes of music.

 

Applications in compressors and air conditioning equipment: Pressure sensors are commonly used in air compressors and air conditioning equipment. These sensors are compact, easy to install, and the pressure port generally uses a dedicated valve needle design.
