Introduction To Liquid Level Sensors

Feb 18, 2026 Leave a message

Level transmitters are divided into two categories: The first category is contact type, including single-flange hydrostatic/dual-flange differential pressure level transmitters, float-type level transmitters, magnetic level transmitters, submersible level transmitters, electric internal float level transmitters, electric float level transmitters, capacitive level transmitters, magnetostrictive level transmitters, servo level transmitters, etc. The second category is non-contact type, including ultrasonic level transmitters, radar level transmitters, etc.

Hydrostatic submersible level transmitters (level gauges) are suitable for measuring the level of various media in systems and industries such as petrochemicals, metallurgy, power, pharmaceuticals, water supply and drainage, and environmental protection. Their compact structure, simple calibration, and flexible installation methods provide users with easy operation. Standard signal output options such as 4-20mA, 0-5V, and 0-10mA can be selected by the user according to their needs. Measuring liquid level using the principle of hydrostatics is an important application of pressure sensors. The use of a special cable with a vent duct in the middle and a specialized sealing technology ensures both the watertightness of the sensor and the communication between the reference pressure chamber and the ambient pressure, thereby guaranteeing high measurement accuracy and stability.
