Measurement Principle |
The HNL60-A capacitive level switch is based on the principle that capacitance changes with the dielectric constant of the medium. The probe and the container wall (or the built-in reference electrode) form the two poles of the capacitor. When the liquid level rises, the capacitance changes abruptly as the high-dielectric-constant liquid (such as water with a dielectric constant of approximately 80) replaces the low-dielectric-constant air (with a dielectric constant of approximately 1). The built-in electronic circuitry detects this change, and when a preset threshold is reached, it triggers the switch to activate, outputting an on/off signal. |
