The HNL110-A radar tank level sensor is an industrial-grade non-contact device engineered for accurate level monitoring of solids, slurries, water, and oils, ideal for petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, food, cement, and coal industries. It transmits narrow electromagnetic microwave pulses (26GHz/80GHz optional) that reflect off the medium surface, with advanced correlation demodulation technology calculating distance via pulse time intervals-ensuring reliability even in foam, steam, or heavy dust environments.
Boasting a maximum measurement range of 70m (customizable) and ±3mm repeatability, this sensor features a small blind zone, 0.25% F.S. nonlinearity, and adjustable response time (0-60s) for small tanks and large storage vessels alike. Its concentrated beam (4°-18° antenna angle) enhances anti-interference capability, while the low-emission design is human and environmentally friendly. Constructed with 304/316 stainless steel or PTFE-coated wetted parts, it resists corrosion, withstanding temperatures from -40℃ to 250℃ and pressures up to 200bar (optional).
Equipped with IP65/IP68 protection, Exd IICT5 explosion-proof certification, and 24VDC power supply (with polarity/overvoltage protection), the sensor offers flexible outputs (4-20mA, 4-20mA+HART) and installation via thread or flange (DN50-DN250 options). Measurement Principle |
The HNL110-A radar level gauge antenna emits extremely narrow electromagnetic microwave pulses. These pulses propagate through the air at the speed of light. Upon encountering the surface of the measured medium, part of their energy is reflected back and received by the same antenna. The time interval between the transmitted and received pulses is proportional to the distance from the antenna to the surface of the measured medium. |
