The HNF10-B Electronic Flow Switch delivers precise and reliable flow monitoring based on the advanced thermal dispersion principle. It features an all-metal stainless steel housing (IP67 rated) and offers versatile, maintenance-free operation for water, oil, and gas applications across a wide range of pipe diameters.
Equipped with an intuitive 8-segment LED display, the switch provides clear visual feedback: three red LEDs indicate flow below the set point, one yellow LED shows flow at the set point, and four green LEDs (with increasing count) represent flow above the set point, allowing real-time flow trend visualization. The switch point can be easily configured on-site via touch buttons or a computer, eliminating the need for mechanical adjustments.
With high repeatability (from 1% to 10% depending on flow velocity) and fast response (typically 2 seconds), the HNF10-B ensures accurate detection even in demanding conditions. It supports multiple output options-PNP, NPN, or relay-and offers robust electrical protection against reverse polarity, overload, and short circuits. The sensor withstands pressures up to 100 bar (300 bar optional) and operates reliably across a broad temperature range (-40°C to 85°C ambient, -20°C to 120°C medium).

Measurement Principle |
Using the principle of thermal diffusion, there are two temperature sensors in the probe. One acts as a reference sensor to measure the medium temperature, while the other is heated and serves as the measuring sensor. The temperature difference between these two sensors is used as the basis for measuring flow rate. When the flow rate of the medium increases, the temperature difference value decreases, and vice versa. After processing, this temperature difference value is converted into a standard electrical signal output and displayed. |
