The HNF40-A Small Vortex Flow Sensor is a versatile and robust solution for simultaneous flow and temperature measurement of both liquids and gases. This compact sensor delivers dual 4-20mA analog outputs-one for flow rate and one for temperature-enabling seamless integration into PLCs and control systems. It offers a wide liquid flow range from 0.4 to 400 L/min (depending on pipe size) and a temperature range of -20°C to 100°C, with accuracies of ±3.0% FS for flow and ±1.0°C for temperature. Built for durability, the sensor features a POM/stainless steel (SUS304) wetted parts, withstands pressures up to 16 bar, and operates in ambient temperatures from -10°C to 65°C. Measurement Principle |
Working based on the principle of the Karman vortex street. When the fluid flows through the non-streamlined vortex generator inside the sensor, it will alternately produce regular vortices on both sides downstream. The frequency of the vortices is proportional to the flow rate of the fluid. The piezoelectric elements built into the sensor detect the frequency signal generated by the vortices, and after processing by the internal circuit, the precise flow rate value can be calculated. This model of sensor also integrates temperature measurement functionality, achieving integrated monitoring of flow and temperature. |
